Hyrox is a high intensity session. It incorporates strength and resistance training to create the perfect functional fitness session. It is meant to kick your cardiovascular and energy-burning systems into high gear to burn tonnes of calories and develop muscles and endurance.
The idea is that a combination of cardio and strength exercises at varying intensities change the metabolic demand on your body throughout the workout, which optimizes your ability to store and burn energy while torching calories. Hyrox is a tough workout with each person pushing to their individual limit or threshold on a given day, and can incorporate anything from cardio intervals on the bike, rower etc to circuits of less technical strength-building exercises like Squats, Kettlebell Swings, TRX Rows, Push-Ups to name a few.
